The standard and industry leader in editing software is Adobe PhotoShop CS. It will do just about anything you could want or imagine. But for the average user there are two problems. The first is cost and second is its complexity. But there’s also free Image Editing Software that you can use.

Paint.NET is one way to edit your pictures with a bit of professional touch. It is an open-source freeware editor with all the essentials, including tools to crop, rotate, resize images, adjust colors and so on. If you think the suite of effects is thin you have not discovered the Paint.NET community that provides more effects then you can handle. That’s for today.
